Dr. Daniel Rainkie

Dr. Daniel Rainkie joined the Qatar University College of Pharmacy in 2015 as a clinical lecturer and is a clinical pharmacy specialist at the Advanced Heart Failure Clinic at Heart Hospital, Hamad Medical Corporation. Daniel completed his B.Sc. (Pharm) from the University of British Columbia in 2012. He did his pediatrics pharmacy residency (ACPR) with the Fraser Health Authority (Canada) in 2013 and his Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of British Columbia in 2015. Daniel was a neonatal intensive care pharmacist at B.C. Children’s Hospital before joining Qatar University.

Within the College of Pharmacy, Daniel is an evidence-based medicine teaching specialist and is the coordinator of the literature evaluation and presentation skills undergraduate series. Daniel is passionate about teaching the transition from the literature to its application in real practice. He serves as the Assessment Coordinator, chair of the evidence-based medicine and presentation skills, and assessment committees. He contributes to the development and implementation of simulation and non-simulation assessments.
